Adelaide Zoo’s Nature’s Playground was also generously supported by Variety, and the all abilities area has proven to be very popular since opening late in 2015.

Children will receive an Easter gift on arrival and be treated to entertainment and lunch throughout the day.  Ladies of Variety Chair, Jan-Maree Wauer, said that the picnic marks an important event on their calendar.

‘’It is a great day for children whose opportunities in life can sometimes be limited to get out and about to visit one of Adelaide’s icons like other children do’’ said Jan-Maree.

‘’The Easter bunny is always popular and the smiles on the children’s faces last the entire day.’’

“This event would not be possible if it weren’t for the help of a committed group of volunteers and the generosity of everyone who donates to Variety,’’ she said.

The zoo will be still open to the general public.
