WHAT: The Brisbane Gang Show - 62nd Season

WHEN: Friday 28 June to Saturday 6 July 2013

WHERE: Schonell Theatre, University of Queensland, St Lucia, Brisbane

(Parking available within easy walking distance of the venue)

COST: Price – Adults $23; Concession (Pensioners/ Students) $20; Children (Under 15) $15

Later this month the 62nd season of The Brisbane Gang Show will kick off at the Schonell Theatre, University of Queensland.

This year’s show features a cast of 90 Queensland Scouts and Guides who are aged between 10 and 28 years of age. The cast from this year’s show come from Scout Groups all over Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The season will run from Friday 28 June to Saturday 6 July 2013. The performances operate at night as well as three matinees on Saturday 29 June, Thursday 4 July and one on Saturday 6 July. This year the Brisbane Gang Show will also perform a special School Holiday show at 11:00am on Thursday 4 July 2013. At this special show, children will be entertained by live characters, face painters and colouring in competitions and all for a special school holiday price.

The theme of the 2013 show is "Transportation throughout Queensland" and as always there’s something for everyone: catchy songs, great dance routines, witty sketches and sensational costumes!

Brisbane Gang Show’s Executive Director Mr David Teufel said "this year’s show the audience can expect the unexpected. The cast will keep the audience entertained with their outstanding talent and smiling faces. This year we see the production team take a modern approach on the show and refresh the Gang Show concept in Australia. The production will be full of variety which can be enjoyed by the whole family no matter their age. If you miss the 2013 Brisbane Gang Show you will be kicking yourself" he said.

Brisbane Gang Show continues its long tradition of providing Scouts and Guides a theatrical experience that can be matched by no other. The show provides a fantastic and a truly unique life changing experience for young people, as well as being a great opportunity for Scouting to be showcased to the public.
