Media Advisory - Commemoration of New Zealand’s involvement in the Korean War

The Commemoration of the Anniversary of the Korean War will take place at 11.00am on Friday 23 June at the Hall of Memories, Pukeahu National War Memorial Park, Wellington.

The Commemoration of the Anniversary of the Korean War will take place at 11.00am on Friday 23 June at the Hall of Memories, Pukeahu National War Memorial Park, Wellington.

All journalists and camera operators are invited to attend the ceremony. Please assemble outside the National War Memorial by 10.40am. Due to space constraints, entry to the ceremony in the Hall of Memories will be permitted for two to three media organisations and a pooling arrangement might need to be in place.

The event will include a wreath laying, the Last Post and the Ode of Remembrance. At the conclusion of the ceremony some of the VIPs will place a fern on the Tomb of the Unknown warrior.
