American Express upgrades its official WeChat account with enhanced Card Member benefits and a new self-service system

American Express has made some serious upgrades to its official WeChat account (ID: AmexChina). The enhanced platform now serves as a one-stop shop for Chinese Card Members to access a world of enhanced benefits presented by American Express, for dining, lodging, shopping, gym access, golf, private club access, yacht benefits and more. Card Members can also book their tee times or make reservations through a newly embedded self-service system within WeChat.
Shanghai, 21st February 2017 – American Express has made some serious upgrades to its official WeChat account (ID: AmexChina). The enhanced platform now serves as a one-stop shop for Chinese Card Members to access a world of enhanced benefits presented by American Express, for dining, lodging, shopping, gym access, golf, private club access, yacht benefits and more. Card Members can also book their tee times or make reservations through a newly embedded self-service system within WeChat.
“You can find offers by just clicking the menu or searching keywords, like a specific offer name or a destination that interests you.” said Dave Keung, Managing Director, China, American Express. “You can easily reserve a table, a fitness center, or a golf course booking by yourself. Our single-network Card Members can also enjoy local offers by making a reservation and showing their American Express-branded card to participating merchants in mainland China.”
