Background: 
Minister Payne, Darren Chester MP Member for Gippsland, and Air Marshal Leo Davies will receive the first fleet of six Pilatus PC-21 aircraft under Project AIR5428. Further information:

The new system will train more pilots faster and to a standard matched to Air Force’s evolving mission. The Air Force has also based five of its seven PC-21 simulator flight training systems in new state of the art facilities at the base.

Photo ID is required to gain access to RAAF Base East Sale and media are required to be escorted at all times.
 
Media are to park vehicles in the visitor carpark at the entrance to the base. Media will be shuttled to and from the event site.
