Media Alert: Officer Commanding Number 81 Wing Handover Parade Flypast

What:             F/A-18A Hornet Flypast
             
When:             Thursday 14 December 2017 at approximately 11am
 
Where:           RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW
 
Up to fourteen F/A-18A fighter jets will conduct a low level flypast on Thursday 14 December 2017 at approximately 11 am to commemorate the handover of command of Number 81 Wing at RAAF Base Williamtown.
 
The aircraft will conduct a ‘Tigerbird’ formation flying at 500 feet above ground level, travelling at speeds of approximately 350 knots.
 
Noise management and environment impact are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military flying.
