Australia is commemorating the Centenary of Anzac – 100 years since our nation’s involvement in the First World War. This is a time to commemorate more than a century of service and sacrifice by the men and women who have served, and continue to serve, Australia and its allies in war, conflict and peacekeeping.

Anzac Day is a day for all Australians. Defence thanks the Australian public for its ongoing support in remembering those who have paid the ultimate price in service to our nation. We also thank the public for its understanding of the limits of Defence support that can be provided to the numerous Anzac Day commemorations in 2017, both domestically and internationally.
