Guest speakers:

His work focus has been on providing care for children vulnerable to sexual exploitation or who may have displayed concerning sexual behaviours.
  • Australia’s Maree Crabbe (AUS) is internationally renowned for her work on the influence of pornography on the sexual development of young people and presents what this may mean for children in out of home care.
  • Dr Kevin Powell (US) a Colorado based Director of a secure residential treatment facility for youth, will outline his strengths-based approach for working with young people.
  • Dr Howard Bath (AUS), former Northern Territory Children’s Commissioner will reflect on whether children are any safer now in out of home care than they were 20 years ago.
